Probiotics – The Cleaning Power of Nature

Today’s cleaning agents are full of chemicals that bring along lots of problems not only for the environment but also for the health and well-being of us humans (as already mentioned in blog post #5). During recent studies, it has been found that humans fear bacteria so much that they actually clean and disinfects too much, which – believe it or not – can harm our immune system. The main problem with too much cleaning is the toxic ingredients that increase the occurrence of diseases such as asthma, type 2 diabetes and contact sensitivity to the disinfectant substances. Not to talk about that it doesn’t only kill the bad bacteria in our surroundings, but also the good bacteria that we need, for example, in our colon system.

Just like antibiotics, disinfectants in cleaning agents work against bacteria. However, we all know that bacteria at some point can become resistant to antibiotics as they adapt to the circumstances around them, but have you ever thought about resistance against disinfectants? Probably not, but it is something that has started to arise due to excess use of disinfectants (especially in cleaning).

So, what do we do when we can’t use disinfectant anymore? Difficult question you might think, however, the truth is that we already have the solution, and guess what? It is not only working against bad bacteria, but also taking care of good bacteria and our planet. 3-in-1, how awesome!? To keep the mystery away, let me present the solution to the problem: PROBIOTICS.

Probiotics is something commonly known as a supplement helping the bacteria culture in our body or as an ingredient in yogurt. Not many people have heard about that probiotics also work wonders when used in cleaning agents. Let me explain to you how it works, with the probiotic Bacillus:

Hopefully you now know that the cleaning agents proudly presenting “kills 99.99% of all bacteria” on their bottles actually kills ALL bacteria (that will say even the good ones crucial for our bodies, our home and our planet) and that the bad bacteria eventually can become resistant to disinfectant, but that the solution to the problem is already found (probiotics).

If you’re ready to unlock the cleaning power of nature, stay tuned for another blog post explaining reasons why you should use probiotic cleaning and join us on our journey towards a more sustainable and natural everyday cleaning!
